Your Year in Review!

Do this BEFORE setting your new year goals!

I know it feels like everyone’s already setting their 2024 goals, but if you’ve got kids on school holidays it’s kind of hard to jump straight into goals after Christmas. I find this holiday time great for just reflecting, relaxing and thinking about the year to come. The best thing about reflecting on the year is being able to use it to make the next year even better! When we finally get to making goals, they’re going to be super mindful and purposeful! I’m counting the start of the school year as the beginning of our year, so that gives me plenty of time to make some purposeful goals. But first!

Here are some meaningful reflection questions:

  1. What did you achieve this year? In other words, what are you proud of, what gives you fond memories, and what are you glad you did?

  2. What goals did you have for the year? How did you go with them? Were they good goals to set, why/why not?

  3. What worked well this year?

  4. What didn’t go so well?

  5. What would you like to do/feel/have more of in 2024?

  6. What would you like to do/feel/have less of in 2024?

  7. What’s really important to you for the next year, what values do you want to prioritise?

Take your time to journal through these questions. I find going back through photos helpful for remembering early in the year, it’s amazing how much you forget!

Next week I’ll put up a guide for setting some awesome goals for the year ahead!
